Hey, have you listed a price, location and how much shipping would be to other parts of New Zealand? Also if you are asking for a PM make sure your Privacy settings allow your account to receive PM otherwise people can't contact you. Also note if you are selling something we ask you to offer to other members first. Links to private sales (including Trade Me posts) aren't accepted anymore and will be removed.

Sorry don't understand the GST part, cause if I'm paying GST on a second hand good, then do i get warranty on my goods. Sorry don't know all the rules.

If you are buying from a shop, or anyone who is ‘in trade’, then the Consumer Guarantees Act applies. If the product breaks then you can take it back to either get a refund, repair or replacement if the problem is minor, or a full refund if the problem is major or causes a safety risk.

im not trying to cause issues. but this the first time i have seen someone use GST in there sale on a forum site.

I think the OP is slightly confusing. I don't think he needs to state GST, because he is not a shop?

Edit: And yes, GST has nothing to do with warranties.

Maybe he is a business though? But if you are selling privately, I don't believe you need to.

you'll be able to ask for a GST Invoice with his GST number and claim back the tax if you're GST registered.  Warranty has nothing to do with GST

so then warranty would apply due to him giving out a GST number. GST number means SHOP or TRADE

i
f your paying GST then you must be dealing with a person with a shop or in trade, and as such CGA applies to all products being sold here.

LMAO
No I am not a business I am semi retired
I thought because most of you guys are in business it would save you asking "does that include gst"

I should have kept my mouth shut

My joking comments were really based on the fact that I thought we lived in new Zealand where we all laid back and everything was "Cool" and we all trusted each other to do the right thing
Maybe that's just me

BUT

If i sold something to somoene and it had a fault I would feel duty bound to mention it
But if someone bought a item had it for a few months the it broke or stopped working that tough luck
If I wanted a surety then I would buy from a proper business That sounds fair doesn't it?
