Hi Team,

I'm after some RAM for the HP 6000 Pro.  We normally buy Kingston RAM but they have discontinued production for this model.  (We tried the RAM for a 6200 Pro but the machine does not POST.)

I'm also after a couple of whole 6000 Pros with E8xxx series processors and Win7 CoA's if you have any kicking around.

Might pickup in Auck, elsewhere will pay postage.

Cheers
Mike

Hey, have you listed a price, location and how much shipping would be to other parts of New Zealand? Also if you are asking for a PM make sure your Privacy settings allow your account to receive PM otherwise people can't contact you. Also note if you are selling something we ask you to offer to other members first. Links to private sales (including Trade Me posts) aren't accepted anymore and will be removed.

So a quick Google pulls these up for me:

HP Compaq 6000 Pro: http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/13411_na/13411_na.PDF
HP Compaq 6200 Pro: http://h18000.www1.hp.com/products/quickspecs/13880_na/13880_na.PDF

If those are the machines you are referring to, seems like they use bog-standard DDR3 DIMMs to me, in fact, if you look at their memory part numbers, they are exactly the same between the 2:
1GB: AT023AA
2GB: AT024AA
4GB: VH638AA

I do have a pair of Kingston HyperX DDR3-1600 2GB modules (= 4GB kit) if you are interested, unless HP are REALLY specific about their memory compatibility.

Thanks for having a look, Kamadan.

We generally only use memory certified for specific machines, as we have had too many come-backs with generic RAM in HP business series machines.  We've tried RAM from the 6300 series but the machine won't POST.  The 6200 series will use RAM from the 6300 series, but the 6300 series RAM just won't step down to whatever the 6000 series requires.  (There was no 6100 series release.)
