Selling my Onkyo 818 AMP.

Selling due to upgrading to newer 2014 Onkyo AMP

You can see all the specs @ http://www.onkyousa.com/Products/model.php?m=TX-NR818&class=Receiver

Bought from Avalon (The distributors in NZ ) around 1.5 Years ago and has had no problems. Works 100%. Can supply some short HDMI Cables if people need them to connect to different inputs.

Location: Auckland
Price: Make an Offer (Reasonable)

Hey, have you listed a price, location and how much shipping would be to other parts of New Zealand? Also if you are asking for a PM make sure your Privacy settings allow your account to receive PM otherwise people can't contact you. Also note if you are selling something we ask you to offer to other members first. Links to private sales (including Trade Me posts) aren't accepted anymore and will be removed.

A bit more than the start price on trademe. I would keep it as it has caused me no real problems but I'm upgrading to a 838 Tomorrow which has HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2 and a few more newer features compared to the 818. The 818 is a 2012 model I got 1.5 years ago and the 838 is a 2014 model.

Does the internal switchers on these do HDMI CEC so that you can change inputs from the TVs source menu?

I guess this depends on the TV Attached to it I guess and if the devices attached to the Onkyo can do CEC as well.

When I had my PS3 plugged into the AMP I could choose it to use it on my TV but I guess it all depends on a lot of things. If a device (which has CEC) is plugged into the AMP it will show (I think usually) up but there is no way of choosing different inputs if the device doesn't have CEC on it. I just used the AMP's Remote which I could use with most things

I got the 838 today.. I'm the 1st person in NZ to get one (as they came into NZ via Avalon (The Distributors) on Thursday).

I'll do a write up on another thread about it.
