Does anyone in the Manawatu or Wellington regions have a TiVo they no longer want?

One of mine recently kicked the bucket and I'm looking to replace.

Hey, have you listed a price, location and how much shipping would be to other parts of New Zealand? Also if you are asking for a PM make sure your Privacy settings allow your account to receive PM otherwise people can't contact you. Also note if you are selling something we ask you to offer to other members first. Links to private sales (including Trade Me posts) aren't accepted anymore and will be removed.

Hi Geoff how did the old one die - would imagine with a TiVo its likely HDD,PSU,or fans that die. If its the HDD I have an old TiVo 360 HDD you could have. Pulled from a tivo I upgraded and was still working at the time.

It boots straight to a grey screen. I think it had fan issues too. Was very noisy.

Out of curiosity, how much are these things worth?

My neighbour has an unopened TIVO that he was given by Telecom/Spark. He might be tempted if the price is right. Hes a Sky subscriber and our area has no UHF reception so he's never used it. Im in Wellington BTW.

Looks like they're going for $200ish on Trademe.

Yep I bought mine for $200 and would be happy to pay the same again, provided it was tested first (a lot of them are duds right out of the box).
