I have a TiVo sitting at home that came from Telecom.

Still in shipping box, never been opened. It came with a WiFi adaptor.

Looking for $220 for it, pick up from St Lukes in Auckland. I could arrange freight, at buyers cost. In that case it would be coming from Waiheke Island.

As I said, never been opened, so it *should* be in perfect nick. No warranties though.

I'll whack it on Trademe at the end of the week, think they are going for around $250 there.

Hey, have you listed a price, location and how much shipping would be to other parts of New Zealand? Also if you are asking for a PM make sure your Privacy settings allow your account to receive PM otherwise people can't contact you. Also note if you are selling something we ask you to offer to other members first. Links to private sales (including Trade Me posts) aren't accepted anymore and will be removed.

I would actually check first that it is working, as I had a whole heap of dead DOA tivos when I first purhased one and got given one as part of a telecom promo . The cause was likwly due to them not being powered for a long time. Otherwise you could end up a unhappy trademe buyer. If they remained powered, they seem to be very reliable.

If the buyer wants me to take it out of the box and plug it in I can. I do not have a UHF antenna where I live, so I cannot tune it in. If it powers up it's OK right?

Yeah just plug it in,, and into your TV , and if you can get to the tivo menu it should be ok. All the DOA units I had simply didn't boot up or power up. You don't need UHF reception to test it, as you can get to the tivo menu without it. Just want to save you a lot of hassle having to deal with someone buying who may buy it and finds that it doesn't power up, as they are notorious for that problem I found, and I don't know if they are easily fixable. I went through about 6 DOA units in total.
