Purchased these in America from BestBuy while I was on holiday and decided to replace them with ChromeCasts, since they are more mum proof.

Both units are 2-3 months old. One has all the original bits including the box and US to NZ plug adaptor, and the other has no box and no NZ plug adaptor. Got them for about $99 USD each.

So im thinking $150 each? Considering all the ones on TradeMe are over $200. Will consider offers.
Also Free Shipping for all of NZ.

PM me if you're interested.

Hey, have you listed a price, location and how much shipping would be to other parts of New Zealand? Also if you are asking for a PM make sure your Privacy settings allow your account to receive PM otherwise people can't contact you. Also note if you are selling something we ask you to offer to other members first. Links to private sales (including Trade Me posts) aren't accepted anymore and will be removed.

I might be interested as my tv (panny ut50) built in media player struggles a bit.

Do you know if the Roku will play subtitle files? My tv only allows mkv with srt.

Cheers

I've never really needed to check if it does as I've only used Plex to play content which transcoded the subtitles into the video stream. From what i've read this should work, but i'll play a few files tomorrow to be sure.

Thanks for that. I would be using an external hard drive.

OK, sorry to keep you waiting, was a full on day. Just tested a movie out from an external hdd. And yes, it does play the subtitles. Pressing the * key brings up the menu.

No worries. Thanks for doing that.

After reading the specs it only supports mp4 & mkv via usb. I have yet to try Plex, I'm not sure if my home network would cope that well. I've also read a few posts where people have struggled with streaming 3d content and subtitles.

I think I might be better off with a WDTV. Thanks though
