Apple dropped the price for ATV3 to USD69. The price listed on Apple NZ Store is NZD119 now (previously NZD169). Good time for an upgrade from ATV2 to ATV3 too.

Plex Media Server + PlexConnect + ATV = Nice. Next step for us be NetFlix and HBO Now if we head down the path to get geo-unblock service. Anyone had any try using geo-unlock service with Plex Media Server and PlexConnect?

Internet is my backyard...

Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

I thought the ATV2 was at a premium over the ATV3 due to being able to be compromised whereas no workarounds existed for the ATV3 yet.

An upgrade in raw performance, while a downgrade in flexibility.

I would hold off on that purchase cause I reckon at the next Apple Event they will announce a new Apple TV with new hardware & software but also a WHOLE new payment subscription service, quite possibly at the WWDC around June sometime.

Now that Apple has entered the fashion industry with its new Apple Watch I foresee the lounge room will be Apples next "Frontier" followed by the whole house.

Whilst the difficult we can do immediately, the impossible takes a bit longer. However, miracles you will have to wait for.

Meh, didn't bother me when I'm using PlexConnect. It does what we need fine.

For $119 I'm just going to get one from Apple, also I notice that the warehouse has pulled them? Maybe the commerce commission gave them a call :)

When I was using plexconnect a while back I had it working for geo-unblocking - from memory you just need to add the DNS to a config file in plexconnect.
