WTB: I’m looking for a tablet to play on, either extremely cheap (in which case no spec requirements) or a little less cheap, at least 2 core with good battery life, HDMI and keyboard.

Hey, have you listed a price, location and how much shipping would be to other parts of New Zealand? Also if you are asking for a PM make sure your Privacy settings allow your account to receive PM otherwise people can't contact you. Also note if you are selling something we ask you to offer to other members first. Links to private sales (including Trade Me posts) aren't accepted anymore and will be removed.

I just posted on GZ selling an HP Touchpad that you might get for a bargain price.

I could go to a hundred for something that really pushes all my buttons but that would be the limit. I'm hoping to find something acceptable for less. I don't need a tablet, I just want one to play with, so specs are not too important. There are a lot on Trade Me for around a hundred, some for as little as $50 which is what I am shooting for. Yours is probably out of my league.
