Looking to purchase a MCE Remote, to work with Windows Media Centre. Something along the shape and form of the Hauppauge MCE remote, that doesn't seem to be available locally anymore.

TIA

Hey, have you listed a price, location and how much shipping would be to other parts of New Zealand? Also if you are asking for a PM make sure your Privacy settings allow your account to receive PM otherwise people can't contact you. Also note if you are selling something we ask you to offer to other members first. Links to private sales (including Trade Me posts) aren't accepted anymore and will be removed.

I think I have one of the HP Windows Media Centre remotes and IR receivers.  Bought for an HTPC 6 months ago but never used.

I'll try and find it this weekend.  PM me next week if I have not got back to you and you've not had any other offers.

another option is just buy a receiver and a Logitech Harmony. Then you have one remote to rule them all.

I got one from ebay at the suggestion of someone on these very forums. Was a wee wait to get it, but it was cheap and works great. (And as above I acutally just use the receiver from it with harmony remote)

Thanks Dynamic and Brumfondl - will take you up on your offer(s). Will pay for postage courier up from Wellington.

Geekiegeek and Sidefx - was planning something along the same lines - have a Harmony 525 currently in use, but always useful to have the original remote - sometimes good for the WAF :-) ie although the Harmony 525 is configured for the Tivo, it always feels a bit clunky and off-balance. The original Tivo Peanut-style remote has a more balanced feel, and ideal for one-handed operation.

Cheers folks.
