I am in the process of building up a new (old) family desktop on a wife friendly budget i.e. zero budget :( . So far I have managed to pick up a C2D Dell Optiplex 755 from TradeMe for a very sharp price complete with HDMI video card however i need to beef up the ram and add WiFi

What i am looking for is 2~4 sticks of DDR2-667 (or faster) PC2-5300 240pin, 2GB or greater and either a low profile PCI WiFi adapter or a USB WiFi adapter

On the assumption of one man's junk is another man's treasure, I am hoping to do a trade of sorts;


I have an old Dell laptop (N5010 15R i3) with a suspected dead video card of which some of the parts may be of use to somebody;

2x 2GB SODIMM, DDR3L (Samsung Part No. M471B5773CHS-CH9), Don't quote me on this but i believe these are suitable for NUC's

Basically I have the complete laptop which other than dead video card and no HDD (I have already re-purposed)was in good condition and good working order. Replacing the motherboard would have it going again but spending maybe $250 for something maybe worth $400 going just doesn't make sense to me

If someone is in a position to donate the parts I require without requiring anything in return i will happily donate the equivalent to other needy members of the GZ fraternity :P
