Does anyone has and not using Metrologic MS1690 USB Barcode Scanner or any other plug & play USB QR Code scanner?

Wish to experiment with the data entry into my software.

There are hips of free apps for smartphones, but then you need to transfer from phone into PC, all phones are different - not the best approach.
