Just wondering if anyone's got a graphics card that's alot better than my current 8500GT
Decent grunt to run 1080p, video's and maybe even bluray.

Only requirement is that it has to be a single slot as the pcie x1 is running a tv tuner card right next to it.

Preferably free :)

Hey, have you listed a price, location and how much shipping would be to other parts of New Zealand? Also if you are asking for a PM make sure your Privacy settings allow your account to receive PM otherwise people can't contact you. Also note if you are selling something we ask you to offer to other members first. Links to private sales (including Trade Me posts) aren't accepted anymore and will be removed.

I have a GTS250,

Judging from the following comparison it should be way better than your 8500 GT.

It was a pretty sweet card, it could handle the game Titan Fall.

You can have it for $30 including postage.

I have not tested it, but if there is an issue send it back and I will give your cash back.  It was find when I pulled it out of my machine.

I just re-read your post, this is dual slot card, so it might not work for you.

Let me know if you want it.

Thanks but definitely needs to be single slot, due to the pcie x1

I'm sure you've looked at retailers, but
HD5450
GT210

I may have an 8800GT at work, will have a look in the morning to see if it still works if you don't find anything in the interim.

The HD5450 will work well, I've used it for a media centre decoding MP4 on a full HD TV.  Was awesome on Need-4-Speed Underground.  Could not remember the model number, but that is the one.

You can never have enough Volvos!
