Yep, that's right. We (still) need a house. We're starting to look properly now that we have time, and finances in place.

We're looking at Miramar, Newtown, Island Bay, and surrounding respective suburbs. We are in no huge rush, but are also able to accommodate a quick move if required.

We're trying to stay under $550k but happy to look at others if they are "the one". We've been living in a ~90m2 apartment so the house/section doesn't need to be very large. Sun is a must, however. I'm also a handy fella so am happy to do a bit of DIY if necessary, too.

Maybe just send me a PM if you have something/know someone and we can talk about it further outside of the forum.

p.s. Freitasm, sorry, no commission if something comes from this, just a continued subscription ;)

Hey, have you listed a price, location and how much shipping would be to other parts of New Zealand? Also if you are asking for a PM make sure your Privacy settings allow your account to receive PM otherwise people can't contact you. Also note if you are selling something we ask you to offer to other members first. Links to private sales (including Trade Me posts) aren't accepted anymore and will be removed.

What about the Hutt, you get far more bang for your buck, and the build quality (insulation etc) can be better, as buildings tend to be newer,a nd you get more space and a garden. The good thing about Wellington and the hutt, is it has good public transport, and the roading isn't too bad.

I work in the CBD and my wife works at Wellington Hospital. We would rather spend more on a house near our workplaces than spend it on transport/parking back into town. Plus we don't know anyone in the Hutt. Nor want to live there.
