Hi all

I know this is a ridiculous request, but thought I would check and see if anyone was actually thinking of selling their house in the near future in the Auckland area.

Looking for a home (3-4 bedroom, prefer 2 bathrooms) around Auckland. I would like it to be within 15km radius of CBD (work).

PM me and we can discuss further.

Cheers

Hey, have you listed a price, location and how much shipping would be to other parts of New Zealand? Also if you are asking for a PM make sure your Privacy settings allow your account to receive PM otherwise people can't contact you. Also note if you are selling something we ask you to offer to other members first. Links to private sales (including Trade Me posts) aren't accepted anymore and will be removed.

Haha, ya i know! Tired of talking to agents and being beat at auctions. I would up and go somewhere else, but family, friends + work revolves around Auckland.

There has been a big increase in listings recently and alot of auctions passed in. So just wait for the auction to happen. When it doesn't sell put your offer in. With the usual conditions.

And if yours is Brick and Tile, not leaky, has 2 car off street parking and happened to be just a bit outside 15km Zone as in the original Post - please let me know :)
Anything within 45 km from Greenlane, Auckland (that is as far as Piha) will do...

Haha! I wish I had one. I am currently renting, hence looking for something to call my own.

I have noticed more and more properties are not selling at auctions. Almost giving me the feel that the demand is flattening. I wonder if we will see a fall in prices soon

Having a brick and tile home is no guarantee that it isn't a leaky home. Things such as poorly installed windows can still cause water ingress.

Buyers have had enough of rising prices and the sellers are still being greedy???

Plenty of new housing just gone up in Whangaparaoa - 44.5km away from Greenlane ;)

Up north would be very nice actually. But even there the prices have sky rocketed!

You are looking up around the 1.5 million plus (for a rat hole but close to city) I would think.

My mum has a crappy townhouse / apartment on leasehold land (30 minute walk to queen street) , only 1 bathroom, bedrooms can't swing a cat , 1 car park, could be worth up to 800k.

You don't want to be further out or you will spend your life sitting in your car listening to radio reports about traffic snarls.

Auckland in my mind is a failed city for those without millions in their bank account.

Really depressing as I feel really bad for my children and the difficulties they will face in the future. I had it easy compared to what they will go through.
