Bought these on a whim, but they have been sitting around untouched for 12 months so its time they went.  The blue and grey shell is steel.  These are heavy.  The touchscreens are 19" and have a VGA connection and tilt.  There is plenty of room inside the chassis for a SFF computer (but not a minitower).  There are some cooling fans built in, and a power board with IEC connections.  There is a USB connection from the touchscreen.  Under the screen you can see the card reader and optical drive slot.  This section slides out (when unlocked, and we have drilled some of the locks as we have no keys - the locks are replaceable with cheapies online).  The backplates are held closed by locks which we have drilled (checking for any computers inside the chassis).

The photo shows one on a steel pedistool, and one on the floor.  There is only one fixed to a pedistool but we have 4 of the 'desktop' variety with rubber feet.  The one on the pedistool will need a van or trailer, as it is 145cm tall.  The others are 55cm tall.

I had in mind to turn these into into JAMMA or MAME consoles or do something with them to donate to my kids primary school, but never made the time.  (I do have a JAMMA prototype with a 40-ish game card in a wooden case at home and once every few weeks will thrash it for a few days.  Love it.  Nice experience than a MAME conversion IMHO.)

Offers welcome.

Hey, have you listed a price, location and how much shipping would be to other parts of New Zealand? Also if you are asking for a PM make sure your Privacy settings allow your account to receive PM otherwise people can't contact you. Also note if you are selling something we ask you to offer to other members first. Links to private sales (including Trade Me posts) aren't accepted anymore and will be removed.

Is the touchscreen resistive or capacitive?

I'm 80% sure it is capacitive just based on the look and feel.  If there is anything you would like me to check (short of disassembly) let me know.

Usually resistive will be covered in scratches since it is plastic, and it moves when you push it.

Can see a grid of small dots over it, whereas capacitive will usually have a pattern to it.

The screen does not look to have scratches, I can't see a network of dots, and there is no 'give' to it like I remember from older resistive screens thT I have had in the past (Palm pilot, Windows CE pocket computer, etc).

Consider me interested then ;) How are the backlights on the monitors performing? Im guessing since they are VGA they are from the fluro light era and would have had a lot of use, so being dim and taking 10 mins to light up is a concern.

I could be interested in one of the floor models. Any ideas what you would let one go for?

They were removed working from a retail chain store (by someone else).  One pedestal and four desk versions.  Even the desk versions should ideally be moved by 2 people.

They owe me $45 each and have done a valuable job of keeping the dust off the floor.  $20 each would be sufficient, and I'll even throw in the dust.  It's more about freeing up space.  :)

Upon your arrival we can power up a display and plug in the VGA from a laptop.  Pretty flexible on inspection/pickup timing.

Any that don't go contain a beer's worth of scrap steel.

Does the pedistall one detach at all? Thats what I would also be keen on, but I dont think it would slide all the way into the car with the size of the foot. Will have to measure the hole with the seat folded down. Or do the boot open bunjy cord thing.

Definitely the bungy cord thing. Can lend you a trailer if you have a towball.
