As said im looking for someones old acer aspire 3000 disk drive so i can repair mine, plus im looking for some ram, anyone able?

i take it you mean CD-RW rather than HDD? otherwise if HDD why not buy a cheapie the Acer 3000 will take any good old 2.5" ide.

Whoops, i already bough an optical drive off trademe and two 1gb sticks of ram, so this thread is pointless, unless someone ahs an old acer aspire 3000 i could steal the ptical drive out of, it can burn dvds but my new one cannot
