I’m researching costs for some desktop computer bits with intention to buy if I get the right offers: 240 pin DDR2 RAM, 1–4 gig sticks, pc2-5300 or better, up to about $5/gig; any decent graphics card with HDMI out, preferably not over 512 mb, $20-$30; SSD to boot from, under $40. In all cases price matters more than performance as long as the items are within reason.

Hey, have you listed a price, location and how much shipping would be to other parts of New Zealand? Also if you are asking for a PM make sure your Privacy settings allow your account to receive PM otherwise people can't contact you. Also note if you are selling something we ask you to offer to other members first. Links to private sales (including Trade Me posts) aren't accepted anymore and will be removed.

I might have some parts that will interest you. I have RAM and an older GPU (ATI XT1950 i believe). I will go home and check the exact specs tonight.

Can I assume you are after a PCIe card and not older AGP graphics card?

Might have some older AGP cards otherwise.

Would be interested to hear more about the RAM. The card I want is indeed PCIe.

Yes, PCIe. I should have been more specific.

On reflection I have decided to accept your offer anyway. If I end up with 2 cards I can use them both so no problem and the price is certainly right. Please consider the card sold. This is a definite acceptance. Regular parcel post is fine with me. I have never had any problem with it. Please PM your bank details for the transfer and I will reply with my address.

Nice doing business with you.
