Hey, have you listed a price, location and how much shipping would be to other parts of New Zealand? Also if you are asking for a PM make sure your Privacy settings allow your account to receive PM otherwise people can't contact you. Also note if you are selling something we ask you to offer to other members first. Links to private sales (including Trade Me posts) aren't accepted anymore and will be removed.

Why not sell it on TradeMe?

If someone can get hundreds of dollars for a $100 note.. why not try something similar?:)

I have been thinking in all truth about picking up a card or two if I could get them cheap enough (say 5-10% of face value) on the off chance that they may again be accepted once they exit liq. If not than I would have only lost a few 10's of dollars, no different than playing the pokies :-/

Actually, I got a better idea:
For Sale: The entire Dick Smith chain. $1 or near offer.

Trade NZ and US shares and funds with Sharesies (affiliate link).

Bought what? If you have goods in hand then you have nothing to worry about. Providing they didn't try and sell you a gift card today...

Sony would cover warranty claims, providing it isn't directly imported from overseas

Pretty good reason never to buy/give gift cards.  cash is so much better :)

I just had a movie card expire on me with $20 left on it (they stopped accepting them at eventcinemas, which I usually go to, and only hoyts accepted it which i rarely go to).  money never expires :P

so Ill offer you the expired movie card for it?

What's FCO?

Sometimes I just sit and think. Other times I just sit.
