Hey, have you listed a price, location and how much shipping would be to other parts of New Zealand? Also if you are asking for a PM make sure your Privacy settings allow your account to receive PM otherwise people can't contact you. Also note if you are selling something we ask you to offer to other members first. Links to private sales (including Trade Me posts) aren't accepted anymore and will be removed.

Out of curiosity, how much for?

Sometimes I use big words I don't always fully understand in an effort to make myself sound more photosynthesis.

33coupe: So much for my PM

I'm sorry but PM'ing me to ask how much it is, is not an agreement to purchase! You were one of about half a dozen people who expressed interest after it was posted here and elsewhere. If you had been the first person to say "I will buy it", then I wouldn't have sold it to someone else.

Floyd: I was asking $220 shipped, I ended up selling it for slightly less to someone I know so I gave them mates rates.

I'm not sure on the rules but if I'm selling something and the first person expresses interest in it (forum post or PM) then they would have first refusal.
If I had other people interested then I would mention that to the first person.

It's no big deal, plenty more cards out there. Was just a bit disappointed, and surprised that there was a different way to sell stuff.

as you didn't list a price - most likely your initial enquiries will be regarding price. it would seem reasonable that the first person to enquire (about price or anything else that needs clarifying) is the first person at the front of the queue.

33coupe messaged me asking for a price, then roughly 24 hours later messaged me some more questions about the card, at which time I told him it was sold (and came and updated the thread). The eventual buyer messaged me( off GeekZone), asked for a price, then 5 minutes later said "Yep I'll take it"

If I'd been selling this "old world" like via Trade & Exchange or something, I could have had umpteen phonecalls about it, even had a few people come over and look at it, I don't think any of them would reasonably expect there to be a commitment until they actually made an offer to purchase.

Sorry for any confusion however.
