I am looking for a very cheap laptop to use as a streaming computer. It must work and have HDMI out. Other than that I don't care about the physical condition. I will be using it with an external monitor and air mouse so bad battery, missing keys, non-functional trackpad, broken case and screen are all fine, as long as it is cheap and the internal electronics are okay. Price is the main factor for me here.

I am watching some Trade Me auctions but I haven't found anything yet. I am hoping for something not too antique that has HDMI out and can take a SSD but other than that I am not fussy. Keyboard, trackpad, battery, case and screen are not important as long as I can use the TV as a monitor and control it with a USB keyboard and mouse.

I've got a Lenovo Laptop, which may suit your requirements. We're looking for $300, so it may not fit the cheap and battered requirement.

Lenovo Thinkpad Edge E530 laptop
15.6" 1366x768 display
Intel Core I5 3210M 2.5Ghz Dual Core CPU
4GB RAM
500 GB 7200 RPM HDD
NVIDIA Geoforce GT635M GPU with 2GB RAM

Not sure where you're located, but I'd prefer pick up from Hobsonville Point, Auckland. I don't really have anything suitable to safely post it in.

Thanks but for something like this I want to stay under $100, preferably way under. I already have an old Compaq desktop that does the job but it's big, bulky and noisy so I'm looking to improve on that but I'm not prepared to pay a lot for it.
