Trying to revive an old desktop for my son. If anyone has any pair of DDR2 RAM sticks (2x2GB, at least 800Mhz) just lying around, I'd like to have it. Hoping to get a good pair for 30 bucks. Thanks!

Hey, have you listed a price, location and how much shipping would be to other parts of New Zealand? Also if you are asking for a PM make sure your Privacy settings allow your account to receive PM otherwise people can't contact you. Also note if you are selling something we ask you to offer to other members first. Links to private sales (including Trade Me posts) aren't accepted anymore and will be removed.

I think I have 2gb (2x1) of 1066 DDR2 (actual decent stuff with heatsinks on the ram) if that is of any use?  I can look later to confirm, probably be something like $10 plus postage maybe?

Thanks Benoire, that's a nice set and a great price, but I'd like to see if I can get a 4gb kit first. Can I get back to you if I don't get a 4gb pair? Thanks a lot.

Sure thing, I have no use for them. I'll get the exact details when I get home and post them here so you can decide if/when 4gb ddr2 comes up.

Thanks guys! Let me know. I need a pair with the same brand and specs just to be sure that dual-channel config will work (2x2gb 800mhz at least).

Turns out it's only 2 x 1GB unfortunately, but it's yours if you want it, just pay for the shipping.

Cool! Can't refuse a free upgrade. This will cap my setup to 6gb (was planning 8gb) but those ones look like they have the same specs as my installed ones so the system should be much easier to overclock. Will send you a pm. Thanks a lot!
