Looking to pick one of these up for a dedicated Kodi box so I can re-purpose and dedicate the Nuc as the house's nerve center (media server, automation etc)

Price is negotiable and dependent on the state it's in and age of peripherals.

I'm in Wellington but am happy to pay for some tracked postage too.

Hey, have you listed a price, location and how much shipping would be to other parts of New Zealand? Also if you are asking for a PM make sure your Privacy settings allow your account to receive PM otherwise people can't contact you. Also note if you are selling something we ask you to offer to other members first. Links to private sales (including Trade Me posts) aren't accepted anymore and will be removed.

Really cool little box. Just picked one up myself, make sure you get a remote. Still trying to get Kodi set up correctly. The know DolbyTrueHD is killing me.

Nope, just the power brick adaptor. The power brick works off NZ 240V, but doesn't have the right plug for AU/NZ.

Incidentally, I ended up buying one from AmazonUK as the exchange rate and shipping meant it snuck in under NZD$400.

FWIW - I use SPMC instead of Kodi as it's a dedicated Android fork of the project targetting the Shield TV as primary device by the guy who used to be the maintainer of the Android branch of XBMC.

Gidday...

RE HD Audio - just install SPMC and all HD audio wishes will be met! : )

Seriously though - I was so stoked to finally get the blue light on my amp light up for Atmos - but also other formats play flawlessly as well ie.  for Dolby TrueHD and DTS HD Master

To the OP - great device - great choice and I am sure you will enjoy.

I've heard great things about nvidia Shield TV especially with Plex TV support... What's the current best option to source one?

Was looking at these http://wetek.com/product/wetek-play2  - includes a DVB-whatever for bit under NZ$200. Seems quite good to me for my simple needs. Or a Wetek Hub. Course if you want a Shield you want a Shield, just a thought.
