FS is my mint condition Metrum Acoustics head-fi rig:

The superb Aurix Pure Class A headphone amp and the equally superb Octave Mk II DAC.

If you know your stuff then you know how good these are: if you don't, well, Google is your friend!

Current retail in NZ is a shade under $3,000 for the pair. The DAC output can, of course, be used to supply a conventional amp/hifi rig as well as the headphone amp.

Selling as a pair, mint in original boxes, these hand made marvels will blow you away.

Offers in the region of $2000 please. Located near Wellington but can ship by courier.

I can also include a mint pair of the now discontinued but legendary Mr Speakers Alpha Dog headphones in gorgeous hand painted metallic red. Cost over NZ$750

From review...

"Sound wise, the Alpha Dog is one of the best headphone the Head-Fi world has seen today. This is easily among the best headphones you can get in the market today, regardless of class or price brackets. The closed-back design and comfortable fit are huge bonuses. It manages to better every other Fostex Mod I’ve heard and by a significant margin. Personally, I love the look of the Alpha. The combination of matte black with that gloss metallic wine red is a superb combination. Almost cooler than Fostex’s own flagship TH900 through my eyes."

$2500 the lot ONO

I'm not really happy splitting the gear at this time: would prefer to sell it as a full system so that some lucky new owner can be equally blown away...!
