Yes. But there's a big supply constraint, so prices have spiked. I'm not trying to price gouge, as an economist I'm not going to ignore short-term market equilibria! So happy to go with an offer that's close to the average going rate at the moment for them.

I had been eyeing these up, but I just spent around $100 on a Raspberry Pi, case, SD Card and other gubbins and have built myself a RetroPie Gaming machine which currently has every NES, SNES and Mega Drive game running on it...seems like a good investment now!

If you are not buying do not discuss prices. You are allowed to discuss if a listing has factual errors (such as configuration, or which network a mobile device would work or not) but price is something arranged between two parties, not crowdsourced.

What's a serious offer? What are you actually wanting to get?

By a serious offer, I mean one that's researched - so basically something close to the average price at which these things are selling for at the moment on secondary market sites (since there are no stocks in the primary market).

Yes, I could list on Trademe, but then face success fees, stochastic market participation activity unless I patiently wait for statistics to be on my side, etc. Instead, I'm willing to accept an offer that may be lower than some counterfactual peak auction price, in exchange for convenience.

Then how about list the "average price" you're after instead of people having to research for a number you obviously have in mind.

E.g. "after $250 ONO" is fairly simple.

Because a person who wants to make an offer is more likely to bid their highest value. 

Market prices move frequently - yesterday's maximum bid (when I first mooted selling my NES) was something like $230. When I looked just now in response to your post, someone has bid $290 for a NES closing tomorrow.

Without implying any disrespect to the wonderful GZ community that buys and sells on this forum, why should I forego value just to make it easy for a buyer?
