It is M.2 so I think the answer is Neither...

 

 

M.2 is a form factor specification (physical connections, card size, etc.) which can support more than one logical interface such as legacy SATA, SATAe/AHCI, and/ or SATAe/NVMe. So I think my original question still stands...
