Hi All,

I would like to buy the Ring Video Doorbell Pro. I have tried ordering from Amazon and it was ending up around 500 NZD approx including all import taxes. If anyone has for sale please PM me or alternatively any ideas where I should get it from that can ship to NZ.

Why don't they sell in NZ ? and do they honor warranty if we import?

Thanks :)

Normally companies don't mind covering warranties from imported products (Definitely check the warranty wording though), but with the big caveat of the fact you have to send it back to them at your expense, and if thats the USA or other parts of the world, this can get expensive.

Would this fit the bill instead? : https://ring.com/store/products/ring-doorbell

Seems to have NZ pricing and shipping. It looks like they're the same family of doorbell, actually. So might be worth contacting them to ask if they'd stock the Pro- they have NZ contact details.

I assume the one you are referring to is this one? http://www.doorbellhome.org/ring-pro-review/ - If so, I don't even see the pro on their website, but I am tired, so might have looked right passed it.

With regards to their warranty, I was very impressed with their customer service. I bought a Ring doorbell about a year ago, and it needed recharging every few weeks. I rang their customer support number in the US, and they were great. They did a bit of troubleshooting, then sent me a replacement straight away along with prepaid packaging to return the faulty unit.

I have actually bought a PRO version from ebay and it is on the way now. Costed me about 360 NZD plus 40 for shipping via ebay.

I currently have some video intercom connected with two video monitors downstairs and upstairs and that outdoor one is not working. I would like to replace this with this and two Android tabs. Hopefully it will work as it should.

Anyone have any experience with installing a PRO version?

Thanks

Do you have the link to the product on ebay (if they have more on offer, that is). Thanks : )

This is just one link. But there are several that ship via eBay global shipping program which ensures you it is arrived.

Now I am bit confused if it actually really requires a Wired DOORBELL (like a digital ding dong thing) as opposed to Just a Wired power to it?

Installed Ring Doorbell Pro today and works well. Replaced my old Digital doorbell which had Network cable / power. It was around 16VAC
