I have one HP DL380 G7 server used as ESX host

Configuration

HP DL380 G7
VMware ESXi
2 x Intel Xenon 3.4Ghz CPU
11GB Memory

I have various memory sticks as per pics.

SAS Hard disks as well various types. Just ask.

Not sure what they are worth, please PM me with any offer of interest and I will check and advise.

I believe the Server was worth around 1k. But open to offers. It was used as a ESX host and possibly still under warranty but might run out by end of this year.

It's hard to know.. TradeMe listings for servers are usually totally devoid from reality, and most people who want them for home get them cheap/free via employers or other friends in IT.

I think you are really going to be struggling with that, much higher demand for I7 desktops with SSD's than there is for used servers.

As I muttered before, TM prices are often stupidly high (e.g. Anything by MikiPro etc), but here's a few auctions I've had an eye on that didn't go for stupid money.

12 Cores, 32GB RAM, 5x 72-146gb SAS drives, two of them went for just over $200 each. Auction 1 Auction 2

8 Cores, 32GB RAM, 4x 600gb SAS drives, went for just over $200 Auction 3

24 Cores, 192Gb RAM, 2x 146gb and 2x 300gb SAS drives, went for $900. Auction 4

In unrelated news, if you still want to flog off the SAS drive's cheap, PM me a list of what you have.

An update on this. I have realised it has better configuration than the Original post (Cannot edit now).

Configuration

HP ProLiant DL380 G7
VMware ESXi 5.5.0 (VMKernel Release Build 3116895)
2 x Intel Xenon X5650 @ 2.67Ghz CPU - Hyperthreading
272GB Memory

6x 72GB SAS SSD
2x 36GB SAS SSD

I have more memory if you want to add more.
Comes with SSD Drives as shown in pics.

Yeah, I am going to assume that you misread/don't understand the writing on the outside of those drives.

Those drives are mechanical SAS (serial attached SCSI) drives. They range from 10,000RPM to 15,000RPM (10K or 15K) which is the key to knowing they are not SSD (Solid State Drives)

EDIT: Unless, of course, those drive cages have had the drive changed in the cage itself - which seems unlikely
