Does anyone have a spare LAN switch they feel like flogging? I thought my 5-port TP link would be sufficient for my simple needs, but I guess you can never have too much RAM or too many ethernet ports.

My usage is very simple, cabling is cat 5e and it will be a long time before I have to worry about gigabit speeds so a TP Link like I already have would be fine, I just need more ports, 8 or so. PM me with a price including postage to Hastings if you have anything suitable.

$36.80 shipped

Use promo code "PBREVIEW" for free shipping. There are some cheaper ones on there as well, the promo code will work for them too.

Thanks anyway but I just had a better offer. Maybe next time.

Great. Make it $5 and I will just mail a fiver to you. Otherwise I need your bank account. Regular post is also okay with me. Where we live it is identical to courier, except courier costs more. But I'm not bothered by the amount. Whatever is easiest for you.

Move to New Zealand's best fibre broadband service (affiliate link). Note that to use Quic Broadband you must be comfortable with configuring your own router.

Bit silly to spend $1 on a stamp to post a fiver. I can PM you the bank account number.

This switch is a Tenda S108. Nothing wrong with it, I got it at a flea market for a few bucks. It's only disused because I got a 24 port switch that made my two 8 port switches unneeded.

Do you want some crimpable RJ45 plugs and rubber boot covers? Can throw some in for you also. smile

OK PM me your account. I can't think of a use for the other stuff. I don't have a crimping tool and I just use prefab cables. I think I have what I need. Thanks again.

I’ve got two old Cisco 2950s. 24 port 100mbps. Bit noisy but ok to play with. Can vlan etc. Includes rack mount ears. And I have a console cable.

I’ve given up trying to sell them. I’m in wellington.

Thanks but I'll pass. The switch from darthkermit should do what I need.
