Hey all,

I am in need of a USB Audio adapter for my 2007 Macbook (it has the problem of the red-light being on in the audio port, so its always digital optical rather than analog) - the laptop is running Windows 10 so doesn't need to be OSX compatible but that would be nice.  Looking for something cheap.

I would prefer to pickup today, and prefer in or around central Auckland (I am in Ellerslie).

If it helps I bought one off the shelf for <$20 in a Global PC. It was plug and play on my Mac as well.

Had the same issue in a Macbook (first unibody) about 6 months ago and it had been ongoing for 4-5 years. Gave it a blast with contact cleaner, a cotton bud and then a analogue headphone jack. Voila, works like new since.
