I'm looking for a power adapter compatible with the HPE PS1810-8G Switch - where could I find it, please? https://www.ascent.co.nz/productspecification.aspx?itemID=417727

Does it say the required voltage on the unit?

https://www.jaycar.co.nz/switchmode-mains-adaptor-12vdc-1-5a/p/MP3486 would probably do it, providing it isn't a proprietary connector, this is assuming it is 12v (which it seems to be from a google image search).

The unit has a lifetime warranty from HPE, they should swap it out if faulty

No, not faulty. I have a US unit and used with original power for a while but now thinking of sending up to an office so need the NZ plug.

I'm sure the NZ power supply was universal input, is the US not? If so it should just be a case of changing the power cable :)

No, it's a thin cable, can't be replaced...

Yeah, just pulled the spec sheet. That's annoying.

It can be powered by PoE on port 1 if push comes to shove

Yes, it's 12v 1A - the adapter is 12v 1.5a. Not sure about the plug though - it seems the black one (2.5 DC - 5.5 OD) should work.

Watch the 2.5mm OD plugs, many have enough spring to sometimes make a crap connection to a 2.1mm pin, leading to massive headaches over why crap randomly resets for no reason.

The adapter linked should work provided it has the right sized connector.

Your other option would be to go to a computer recycling center and look through a box of power supplies (if available), 12V 1A (or anything more than 1A) is not uncommon. This would also give you a chance to test the fit of the plug into the socket and do away with the need for universal adapter connections.

Edit: Global PC/Jaycar or other stores like these might also be a good place to try and might let you test the fit first.

You could also look for an HP power supply part number 5066-1122, that was the NZ power supply for this switch.

It is a universal power supply so there may be a few around
