Does it say the required voltage on the unit?
https://www.jaycar.co.nz/switchmode-mains-adaptor-12vdc-1-5a/p/MP3486 would probably do it, providing it isn't a proprietary connector, this is assuming it is 12v (which it seems to be from a google image search).
I can get the US one I have when back home and post here.

No, not faulty. I have a US unit and used with original power for a while but now thinking of sending up to an office so need the NZ plug.

No, it's a thin cable, can't be replaced...

Yes, it's 12v 1A - the adapter is 12v 1.5a. Not sure about the plug though - it seems the black one (2.5 DC - 5.5 OD) should work.

The adapter linked should work provided it has the right sized connector.
Your other option would be to go to a computer recycling center and look through a box of power supplies (if available), 12V 1A (or anything more than 1A) is not uncommon. This would also give you a chance to test the fit of the plug into the socket and do away with the need for universal adapter connections.
Edit: Global PC/Jaycar or other stores like these might also be a good place to try and might let you test the fit first.
