I need something that will let me check 4G RBI reception with and without an external antenna on the various frequencies used. I cannot afford hundreds of dollars for this but I could manage < $200. Is there anyone thinking of upgrading their device who would be willing to give me a good price on a second-hand one?

That also works but it is awkward. I would like to find something I can hold in my hand and use to pinpoint the best signal direction and to make comparisons with my two antennas. I am trying to figure out why my signal has deteriorated so drastically. Either it is at my end or it is not. I am having a very hard time figuring out which so I know who to blame. I need something to compare the modem to.
