Hi, I am looking to repair and old HP 600 G1 which had its I5 CPU harvested for another system. HP documents confirm it supports all I3,I5 and I7 4th Gen CPU but I really cant afford trademe prices as it just make it un-economical and I don't need I7 power unless your feeling very very very very charitable.

If anyone has something they can part with for a crazy price let me know .. trying to keep it around the $40~$50 range if possible (in case the thing is actually dead).

I am in Auckland and can collect or happy to pay for a bubble bag to ship in from post shop.

Cheers in advance.

Im on a G3258 and its a great CPU, does everything I want - so long as you're not planning on using the CPU for anything overly heavy, you'll probably find a G3320 will tick along happily, and in some cases outdo an i3.

Its an old business machine so not sure what I would do with it - my boss let me have it after it had the CPU, RAM and HDD removed - just keen to play and see if I can get it going so Pentium might be OK, but my geek cred says get at least an I5 tongue-out.
