Intel i7 870 quad core CPU
8GB RAM: 4 x 2GB khx1600c9d3k2/4gx, 1600MHz DDR3 Non-ECC CL9 DIMM XMP

Note: requires graphics card as CPU/motherboard doesn't have built in graphics

All in working order as of 2 days ago.
Includes original box, manuals, driver CD, motherboard backplate.

Upgraded a desktop PC to a newer B360 motherboard with i7 87000 CPU.

Price $120 including postage.

9 years old power hungry tech and requires a graphics card, case, psu , cooling fan.

It will be interesting to see what you get. I've been binning stuff like this rather than bothering to sell. The memory could be worth something.

Definitely, I have wondered if I should have a go at selling some of my older componentry as I upgrade but I just can't be bothered.

Sometimes I gather enough old bits to build a new PC, keeps the kids happy. They think they're getting a new computer haha.

And, this stuff is good for building a cheap file server.

I'm still running an i7-860 haha, OC'd to 3.6 mind you but still a good cpu. This would be a good deal for someone wanting a decent file server PC, or even a game server for light use.

The LGA1156 motherboards usually go quite quickly on TradeMe. I know because I was looking out for one for ages. From what I have seen, 1st-gen i3/i5/i7 is still wanted by people repairing old systems, but anything older than that is unwanted.
