Hi all,

I am looking at moving my server equipment from the standard tower case format to rack mount.  I don't want to move to server hardware though, and I am finding it hard to find 2U or 3U cases that don't start at $250+.

I am in Auckland and would prefer being able to pickup, however don't mind getting good shipped if price is good.  I don't mind secondhand either.

Does anyone have any cases for sale?  I am after 1 x 2U (or 1U if I can get a decent 40mm fan), and 1 x 2U or 3U that can take 4 x 3.5HDD.  Or does anyone know where to get these?  Ideally the 2U / 3U case would also have exposed drive bays that can task hot-swap trays.

Note, this is going into a home environment, and I have had to deal with noisy 1u servers and their 40mm fans before, hence the desire to stay away from server hardware.

Rack cases tend to cost moonbeams.

Not quite what you're after but I've got a couple of 4U ATX cases (think basically standard PC tower size "desktop" case with a rail kit) not currently being used if you can't find anything better. I paid $100 on here a few years ago for the pair of them, you're welcome to them at that price but you'd need to sort out getting them from Wellington to Auckland.
