I have a spare Watchguard 5 series firewall that is up for sale.

I set one of these up at home with pfsense installed and it works great. I use it only for basic content filtering, but there is loads of options with the pfsense OS.

This watchguard no longer has an active Watchguard subscription, but you can use it still as a firewall without any content filtering.

Info on installing pfsense on the watchguard:

https://doc.pfsense.org/index.php/PfSense_on_Watchguard_Firebox

Location is Hamilton, can deliver in Hamilton or ship at buyers expense.

Looking for offers around $150

(I'll post some photos this evening)

ugh if it weren't for PFSense's AES-NI requirement for 2.5 (Whenever that's going to be released) I'd be super keen as well. Good price though.

Yup, from memory it is the XTM 515.  I haven't opened this one, but can take photos of the inside of my other one for anyone interested

I wasn't aware of the AES-NI Requirements for 2.5.. I'm no longer interested.. My current J1900 based system also doesn't support AES-NI.. Looks like I need to look at some new hardware.

To be honest I wasn't aware of the requirements for 2.5 - so sorry if it was misleading in anyway.

This one is still supported until 2.4 runs out of support from pfsense, so could be useful to anyone who wants to play and learn in the meantime.

Looks like i might move my home system to my XTM 8 series shortly too!

Considering the limitations this hardware has for future upgrades of pfsense (2.5 hasn't been released yet) I am open to any offers on this.

Photos as promised:

Watchguard's partner website says 80bf0349c-5801 is an XTM 545.
