I'm embarking on an experiment with FreeNAS using my mothballed PC, but I remembered it's only got 4GB of DDR3 RAM, and it looks like FreeNAS needs 8GB as a minimum.  If anyone has some DDR3 RAM lying around that they want to get rid of, I'd be interested in it.  As this is an experiment (primarily as to whether I can avoid having to spend money on a new, mainstream NAS box by using existing hardware), I'm hoping to avoid spending too much on upgrading the PC, especially if the experiment doesn't pan out and I end up having to buy a new NAS box.

Common sense is not as common as you think.

If that falls through I might have some DDR3 here you could use.
