Hey so bit of a long story - I have a Ubiquiti AMPLIFI that has worked well for us - but now we've moved to a longer more modern house I'm finding the signal barely reaches our back bedrooms. So I'm going to buy some additional mesh points.

I thought it might be more cost effective to buy the router + mesh points pack and sell the new router off for say $200. Saves the buyer $50 and me around $50 also.

I'll ship for free otherwise pickup in Hamilton - and include the receipt from PB in case you need any warranty.

TL:DR - anyone in the market for a Ubiquiti AMPLIFI router brand new just separated from a 3 pack for $200 shipped (Approx $50 saving from retail)

Also - if anyone has spare mesh points they'd like to sell instead I'd also been keen to go that way.

That router can also function as a mesh point too. If you don't sell, consider having a 4-point mesh network.

Thanks for the tip - I may end up going that route.. it just seems an excessive amount to spend on WiFi ($800 all up)

It might end up just getting a cheap router and a 3 pack of Google WiFi yet

Although - some don't rate Google wifi units, they always worked for my parents and had zero issues after I set them up for them. Dicksmith always have them on for around $389. I have Orbi and it is very fast; but I have to say I could have got 6 units of Google wifi for that money...

AmpliFi is miles better than Google WiFi. Google WiFi also does track some usage which AmpiFi doesn't.

Probably the wrong thread for it - but is it true the mesh points in the kit and bound to the kit router? - Could ruin my clever plan.

Ended up just buying the extenders cause it seems the pack is all paired together. So this thread can be closed. Sorry!
