Mobile numbers don’t “belong” to the people using them so you can’t really sell/buy them... AFAIK they technically don’t even “belong” to Vodafone (or any other service provider).

Presumably you’re wanting a new postpaid connection to go with the number, why not ask the rep directly if they can allocate a shorter number to you?

How would I be able to use circuit switched data at 14,400bps or send a fax from my phone using my circuit switch fax number if I gave them up to you? laughing

 

Do VF not have any to give out? I had no issues getting a 6 digit one for an additional data SIM earlier in the year.

yeah, I got allocated one when I added a tablet share earlier this year, is the pot now empty

Agreed.  For commercial accounts I've never had trouble getting a 6 digit number.

 

You just have to put up with 'slow dialers' occasionally calling you instead of their 7 digit friends.
