Looking for a second hand phone in good condition for the wife for Xmas. She really just wants a great camera phone at a reasonable price. Hence an S7 (or s8 since the camera is about the same)

Anything out there for sale?

@shakedown14 temping deal. Thanks. I'm down in Dunedin so that makes returns hard and I haven't dealt with any of these small Auckland importers before. So little hesitant to shop from such small stores as I be don't know what the warrentry is actually worth .
Nice to hear good experiences. How good was the battery ? What do they mean by ex demo?

Expert Infotech is a great shop that I have used before and that's a good deal.  I would say that the S8 is quite a big step up.  USB C, infinity screen, faster processor, worlds best tested battery after the Galaxy Note 7 fireball drama and Samsung finally abandoned the physical home button on the S8 which is much much better and gives you more screen real estate.

@KrazyKid

I went from an S7 to S8, the screen realestate is the biggest benefit.

Camera is pretty similar in performance, and it's comforting to know that i'll have 95% of my battery mAh capacity remaining after 24 months.

From a geeky point of view the S8 will get "Samsung One UI" and the S7 won't.

The one i bought was a refurbished one so not exactly same as ex demo. But i don't think you have to worry too much as it still comes with a 1 year warranty. Best it to email or ring them up to find out

Thanks for the help everyone.

I've ended up ordering a new S7 from Top Mobile in Auckland. If all goes well it is an EU parallel import and they have a 1 year RTB warranty.

Cost $400. Should arrive tomorrow so I'll check it out then.
