Hi,

My grandparents got me over because there Panasonic DVR had apparently stopped working, turns out it's just the remote that has died.

I am wanting to get the exact same remote, as being elderly it can takes them longer to learn something new. I could get one off Ebay, but it would take a month on a slow boat from China to arrive.

I'm hoping someone might have an old Panasonic recorder that they no longer use, or that is faulty but they remote still works.

Thanks

Found the right one on Trademe for $45 +shipping so I'll see if they are happy to pay that much, but would still be interested if anyone had an old one laying around that could be purchased for less.

The IR6 label isn't specific to one model of remote. On the rear of the remote you will find the part number, e.g. N2QAYB000897.

Yeah, I figured that when I started Googling and got all sorts of results which is why I included the picture. I don't have the remote with me now so can't check again, but I didn't see a number on the back when I did look at it - must be really small.

However, the Trademe listing that appears identical is N2QAYB000480.

The DVR itself is a DMR-XW390.
