The iPhone is a luxury device.
Perception over reality? The iPhone is a mobile phone, not too dissimilar from the slew of all other mobile phones on the market.

Cool, can you please give me $2100 so I can go get a xs max.
It's similar to a slew of other device so I'm sure you wont mind.
Cheers.
You'll be one of the few prepared to fork out $2,100 for the XS Max. Apple has reportedly cut production by 50% and two days ago issued a formal notice to shareholders of revenue shortfall primarily due to poor iphone sales. It looks like not many are prepared to pay an inflated luxury price for a standard mobile phone (-;

Yep, that expected $84bn revenue for the quarter definitely makes me think they aren't selling any phones...
sdavisnz: You literally have no idea what I said, it was in reference to your prior post but it seems to have gone over your head.
An iPhone is a luxury device. Not perception over reality.
Not over my head.
Ok, so what sets it apart from other mobile phones to warrant your claim it's a luxury device (apart from an inflated price)?

Yet, that healthy $84bn is $7.5bn short of what Apple predicted - which equates to about 6 million fewer iPhone Max's than forecast in just the first three months since the new iPhone's were released. Rolls Royce pricing, but no Rolls Royce features relative to other mobile phones, punters are simply wising up to Apple's pricing greed IMHO.
sdavisnz: A Rolex is a luxury watch, it tells the time. They cost 20k
People call it a luxury device.
A seiko is a normal watch, it tells the time, they cost 1k
People call it a watch.
Luxury means exclusive, not many people have 20k to blow on a watch
Do you understand what luxury means now?
The materials, attention to detail and workmanship between a Rolex and a Casio are light and day.
The materials, attention to detail and workmanship of an iPhone and, say, a Oneplus are comparable.
