HI all,

Not sure if this is the correct place to ask this,

I am looking to upgrade my graphics card, currently have a GTX 760 (2GB) and would like something like a GTX 1060 or so.

Got a young family and don't have a lot to spend on it, so was wondering if anyone is selling theirs or where to look to get one online?

Thanks in advance.

TradeMe and/or Pricespy are usually a good start.

What is your actual budget, what sort of games do you play and what monitor/outputs do you have?

Before spending money on a new gfx card, might be idea to check what PC specs you currently have - throwing a new video card into an older spec PC does not fix all problems when it comes to gaming. A GTX760 is still a good card for a gaming system, I was on one until recently, unless youre intending on playing heavy graphics based games such as GTA5 etc.  My daughter now uses my old card (and PC) to play Overwatch quite happily.

You can pick them up for pretty cheap on Trademe.

For example, this one for $350: https://www.trademe.co.nz/computers/components/video-cards/pciexpress/listing-1910756412.htm

Been looking on TradeMe this morning, i like to buy from shops as they come with warrenty. Has anyone bought a GPX from TradeMe before?

Issue I see at the moment, my CPU might underclock it a little as I only have a i5 4750k

Should be ok for a while though until I upgrade the CPU, saying that I will need to upgrade motherboard first before CPU.

I will take a look later, cheers. Will need to see what PSU I have as well, looks like hte RX580 requires more power.

Didnt nVidia launch a new range of graphics cards at CES just recently. I seem to remember somthing about a budget RTX card.

And as already suggested, one has to make sure ones current system has the necessary requirements to run the card.

No worries, quick google came up with:

RX 580 - 500W min https://www.guru3d.com/articles-pages/asus-radeon-rx-580-strix-review,5.html

GTX 760 - 550W min https://www.guru3d.com/articles-pages/geforce-gtx-760-review,5.html

I was running a GTX 760 on less than 550W, and pretty sure the PSU powering it in my daughters PC is only 400W.

Those recommendations are more for covering their own butt I think to avoid anyone going "its not working".
