Hi

I've been sorting out my homelab and have 2 Dell R710 servers that are no longer required.

Dell R710 2u server #1

Single Xeon Processor L5630 @ 2.13GHz 40W max TDP.
Quad 1Gig ports.
32GB DDR3 RDimm Ram (4x8GB).
Dual 870w redundant power supply.
Dell PERC H200 flashed to LSI 9211-8i HBA in IT mode for local storage access for vSAN.
iDrac Enterprise installed with seperate iKVM network port.
4 LFF drive caddies & 2 blanks.
Front plate, no key.

Dell Ready Rails.

One of the 8GB sticks is a different brand which causes the machine to throw a message indicating memory differences. Has no impact on operation and doesn't stop boot.

Looking at around $350 ono

Dell R710 2u server #2

Single Xeon Processor L5630 @ 2.13GHz 40W max TDP.
Quad 1Gig ports.
32GB DDR3 RDimm Ram (4x8GB).
Dual 870w redundant power supply.
Dell PERC H200 flashed to LSI 9211-8i HBA in IT mode for local storage access for vSAN.
iDrac Enterprise installed with seperate iKVM network port.
iSCSI toe adapter installed.
CD Rom in the front.
4 LFF drive caddies & 2 blanks.
Front plate, no key.

Dell Ready Rails, one side slightly twisted due to mounting issue. Sticks without server but slides and extends fully; with server slides as normal.

It appears that dimm slot A3 on CPU1 is not working but works fine as configured to not use it.

Looking at around $300 ono

I've never used the second CPU slot on these so can't say anything about them but when I got them they where in a dual CPU configuration.

Servers where used as ESXi 6.5 hosts using vSAN. Server are in working order with no issues and have just been pulled from the homelab. Competent system for the homelabber and small business. Unit pulls around 110w in current config at low usage.

While I've got prices listed, I happy to understand what they may be worth given their age.

Any thoughts on whether the prices are appropriate?  I'm really not entirely sure what these are worth given their limited upgradability (fix mobo/chassis) which is the reason I've moved back to supermicro chassis/combos as these are not custom layouts.

They seem to go for around $300 - $500 on TradeMe. Couple $1 Auctions went for around ~$150ish.

Have sent a PM about shipping. These two would be perfect for my lab reshuffle...

Unfortunately these will definitely have to be local pickup; or maybe within the Auckland Region for the price of fuel as shipping is hugely expensive as the weight of each server with rails etc. is around 28kgs and that exceeds the main couriers and moves in to freight territory.
