I have a micro-soldering job that is beyond my ability but might be a breeze for someone equipped to do this kind of thing. A USB 2 micro-connector has come loose from a circuit board. The five connection tabs, of which four are used, are very tiny and close together. My preference would be to have a new cable attached with a standard USB connector on it, but re-attaching the original micro-connector would also be acceptable. Could anyone do this job, and would anyone be interested? I am in Hastings but could post the board and connector. See this forum link for photos.

Perhaps link to the actual thread, not just the forum it's in.

EDIT: Or better still:

I've looked for something similar, for some straightforward through-hole soldering, and it's pretty slim pickings out there, called a few places that advertise electronics repair, none of which were really interested in the work...

Is your job a MOBO too? If you can post/courier to Auckland, I can probably do that for you for a coffee/beer? PM me.
