Recently removed from our work network. Pickup in Parnell, Auckland.

Currently listed a few times on Trademe but prefer to deal direct if possible. Looking for $2,250.00 but open to all reasonable offers. Would consider swap (+ cash if appropriate) for an i7 (8th or 9th gen) gaming rig or something suitably grunty that I can run Plex, a few VM's adn use as a workstation.

The second hand market for servers isn't great, mostly because any business that is desperate enough to risk using second hand out of support gear is probably looking for as cheap as possible, and the other target audience is home lab geeks who are looking for damn near free (tm). I may be biased being in the second camp however lol.

Good luck, and if you knock a zero off there PM me :-)

I'd have to agree. I have an office of old servers, all HP Proliant and I am lucky if I can give them away.

Sorry, not intentionally being pessimistic, just thought you may need to consider that when pricing your hardware if it's not selling.

Thanks guys, appreciate the feedback - as much as it pains me 🥴

If it’s not going to sell for more than $1500 I might just re think installing it in the garage or even the shed at home to use as a Plex server.

Or how hard would it be to strip and use as parts in a mini tower? Should be able to easily re use the CPU’s and RAM, anything else?
