I've got a bigger one and the little 6040 is just sitting there taking up space in the garage so it's for sale. Has a 1.5kw air cooled spindle, collet set, limit switches, VERY well put together control box and safety circuit. Has a dedicated PC inside the control box with Mach3. Box can some with smaller 10" LCD integrated or a 20ish inch monitor which is higher res (form factor/screen res tradeoff)

Price will have to be negotiated depending on how much I let go with it that I'll have to replace. Things like some tooling, dust shoe, hose, vacuum separator etc will all need to be discussed. I also have a very solid bench that can go with it if necessary.

It's certainly capable of cutting aluminium although I didn't do much with that - I cut a lot of wood, engineering plastics like Acetal, and it was great at making PCBs (although they do take a bit of practise)

Price starts at $2400 and doesn't include some of the items like hose, dust devil etc but honestly if you are interested then we need to talk about it. Also, I _WILL NOT SHIP THIS_. I am happy to deliver within Chch however. I would vastly prefer however that a potential buyer comes and sees it operating before disassembly and taking it away. This is completely 100% as is where is. This suits a mechanically minded person - DON'T expect this to be be zero maintenance. Like any machine tool, things wear out and it has the power to hurt you and itself.

Genuinely surprised there's no interest in this. Please someone here make me an offer before I take my chances with the TM crowd.

I think your biggest issue here is location more than anything. Looks like a very cool set up!

Did you want to provide some more examples of what it can be used to create?

Do you think you could persuade my wife that I need this? No? Me neither. :(

There's also been some prototyping for a local company that I'm not allowed to show and a bunch of boring brackets and stuff that I never bothered taking pics of.

Well off topic but that stuff is *nice*. I thought on first glance that the middle one was every gigabit geeks dream with a one button speedtest result!

My bank account is grateful that I'm not in Christchurch!
