Hi guys,

Just converted 36 months of gold to game pass ultimate using the current promo.

https://www.cheapies.nz/node/20034

Only problem I have another 6 moths code that I won't be using.

Would anyone like to purchase this from me?

Purchased for $54 but looking for $50

I was going to post that promo. Essentially, it's costing MS $700 ish of revenue per user, I am wondering if it's an error and they are going to reverse it :)

It's not an error it's a promo for e3. Not sure when the promo expires.

Just before joining I received this notice:

"If you join Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, the rest of your Xbox Live Gold or Xbox Game Pass subscriptions will be updated on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate during the same period, up to 36 months in total. All conversions are final; the conversion ratio is subject to change. Check xbox.com/gamepass"

My XBox Gold subscription expires 19 July.  If I renew my Gold subscription now, for say 12 months, and then buy this $1 Game Pass Ultimate deal today, does that upgrade my 12-month Gold subscription to Game Pass Ultimate (effectively, 12 months of Game Pass Ultimate for $80)?

Or have I misunderstood something?

Hi.

Wow, I didn't see that. For the record, I bought 3 years this morning and upgraded, so mine is showing June 2022 Ultimate Game Pass.  I just keep thinking MS is going to reverse it.

Yip exactly that up to 36 months.

Just make sure that it says your gold expires 19 July 2020, or if you buy my 6 month code it should show 19 Jan 2021.

After joining, it becomes Game Pass Ultimate expires 19 Jan 2021

I found this...

https://www.xbox.com/en-NZ/xbox-game-pass

There's a conversion ration apparently, although I think this might apply to Gold subscriptions redeemed after activating Game Pass Ultimate.

Token says…

You get…

1 month of Gold

20 days of Ultimate

3 months of Gold

50 days of Ultimate (1+ month)

6 months of Gold

79 days of Ultimate (2+ months)

12 months of Gold

4 months of Ultimate

And so on...

It sounds like if you've already got a redeemed Gold subscription, and you then upgrade to Pass Ultimate , then it's a 1 for 1 ratio.

Is the $1 deal for Pass Ultimate only for today?

It's been going on a while, Insiders had access to it for a month or so apparently, but why mess around and take the risk?
