Before I go out and buy something new, wanting to check if anyone has something like an Edgerouter they want to sell... looking to upgrade my fibre router from the stock supplied one (which, incidentally, is really getting way too old and is just causing grief now).

Don’t need wireless - already running E400s for that.

Am in Auckland and am happy to pick up, or will consider with postage otherwise..

Just a quick comment on this. I got my EdgeROuter Lite in Aug 2017. I think the USB stick storing the firmware died 2 days ago. Managed to use an old mikrotik but just FYI.

Replacing the USB stick on the ER-Lite is not too tricky - I've just recovered a messed up one this week. I did have a second one to image from though.

The ER-X is pretty darn cheap - probably best to just buy one new.

What speed fibre connection do you have? If it's 'gigabit' if you want to be able to get the *max* out of your connection, going up a step to a ER-Lite could be a good option, the ER-X is not quite grunty enough to get the most out of a gig connection.

I've got an EdgeRouter POE 5 port spare... it's a couple of years old, but haven't had any problems with it...

I'm in Wellington...

Thanks for the offer - actually POE would be overkill for what I’ve got.

Having done more reading - I think you’re all right - I’ll just bite the bullet and pick up a erlite-3.
