I don't know what you mean by depreciated like crazy. I thought your asking price was a little optimistic especially compared to the current new price.

 

I'd consider 50% to 60% of new price a realistic price for second hand electronic items in good condition. If you did better than that then good on you. Then again people pay some crazy prices on TradeMe.

When they first came out, they were retail price for $560, and immediately dropped to $460 within weeks, then $399 by Christmas. Noel Leeming also had sales where they were ~330 in limited quantities. I'm just surprised at the heavy discounting from Sony more than anything else - didn't expect premium headphones to drop that much in value so quickly from retailers. I spend a lot of time in North America, and these headphones basically do not deviate from their $350 USD + Tax price except on special days like Black Friday.
