This is a major long shot, but I have just discovered that the ribbon cable in the removable keyboard for my Lenovo ThinkPad X1 (Gen1, 2016 model) has snapped clean in half. Would anyone have one that I could have/buy?

Unfortunately they sell 3rd gen keyboards only, and they're over $600! Thanks for the link though

Aliexpress/Ebay/similar is your friend on this one, Typically around the $60 mark (Ali will typically include free shipping in a lot of listings also)

Just check the part number/FRU off the back (Should be something like "04Y0786") and give it a search.

Also seems to be one on TradeMe (assuming it's the correct part) although at a higher price being sold by a store on the North Shore of Auckland who I bought my X1 Carbon Gen 3 off, I've always found them perfectly pleasant to deal with.

Listing #: 2272748870 (search the number on TradeMe) This particular listing includes a few more additional parts which could come in handy if your laptop is not in great condition.

Unfortunately that's an X1 Carbon laptop, I have the tablet. AliExpress was the second place I looked, and they're not bad at $100NZ shipped, but finding one locally would have been nice. Tempted to just sell it as is for a reasonable price and move back to a slightly more powerful laptop so I can run the VMs I need to for my studies on it.

I love how helpful everyone is on here, it's always my first place to try when looking for help.
